How to Help

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and although we can't acknowledge each supporter personally, every expression of support is greatly appreciated!!

Donate
Just as your expenses have been rising in your households and businesses, so have the operating expenses of the fire department. Our annual fund drive is still focusing on the mortgage for our new fire station. The mortgage payment each year is $29,346.85. The fund drive pays for half of this while the rest is raised through other fund raising efforts, grants and other financial donations. This past year we were able to pay and extra $12,486.00 towards the mortgage. This isn't easy to do! If we continue to make extra payments, the mortgage to Kansas State Bank will be paid off by 2020! Besides the mortgage on the building we have all the operating expenses for the fire department. It costs us roughly $5,000 to outfit one firefighter with turnout gear and SCBA!
Our auxiliary, social members, fire fighters, fire police and EMT's are busy each month with fund raising activities. We appreciate all your support in patronizing them!!
Please mail any monetary donations to P.O. Box 83 Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853. Make checks payable to: Fremont Fire Department.

We are excited to partner with Community Aid. There is a bin at the fire station that you can drop off clothing and other items that Community Aid can resell in their stores. Fremont Fire Department receives 4 cents per pound for the textiles you donate at our bin. If you would like to place a bin at your place of business for our benefit, please contact Community Aid or contact us.

Volunteer
As you are all aware, our community continues to grow. With the influx of more residents, there is more demand for our emergency services. In 2014 our firefighters have been on 120 calls. These included structure fires, animal rescues, field fires, wild fires, downed trees, transfers, landing zone, investigations and public service.
Your fire department has been protecting your community for 87 years and is highly trained to respond to your emergencies 24/7/365. The firefighters are attending training every month and the EMT's must test every three years to keep up their skills. We are always in need of volunteers for firefighting, junior firefighting, EMT's and fire police.
We also need social members to help in our administrative and fund raising activities.
